Do your part by educating the public as a Heal the Bay representative
Educating the public about causes and solutions to ocean pollution is a vital part of making our beaches safe for people and marine life. You can help out by representing Heal the Bay as a Community Outreach volunteer at festivals and community events.
Community Outreach volunteers (also known as "tablers") staff booths, set up displays and inform the public about ocean pollution and habitat issues. This is a great opportunity for those who wish to speak directly to the public about the issues that affect Santa Monica Bay and Southern California coastal waters.
To become a Community Outreach volunteer, please see the "How to Volunteer" sidebar to the right. A Volunteer Orientation & Training session must be attended prior to volunteering for this opportunity. Once you've completed training, just check our online calendar for "Volunteers Needed" events (green color) to help out!
If you have any questions about the being a Community Outreach volunteer, please contact us at 800 HEAL BAY x145, or send e-mail. |
