County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works is our main sponsor for the 2008 Coastal Cleanup Day event. Their sponsorship over the years has been essential to the progress made in Los Angeles County for residents to become educated about the issues of stormwater pollution and how to contribute positive changes for this very important issue.
CBS2 | KCAL9
CBS2 & KCAL9 are the television sponsors for Coastal Cleanup Day in Southern California for the 6th year in a row! Their team has brought tremendous enthusiasm towards coastal environmental stewardship and, through their community outreach and editorial, educate their millions of viewers and encourage them to participate in CCD in Southern California.
Union Bank of California
Union Bank of California has sponsored the Los Angeles County Coastal Cleanup Day event for a number of years. Their participation has ensured our ability to properly train and equip all of our captains for our 69 sites.
California Coastal Commission
The California Coastal Commission is the state coordinator for California’s participation in the International Coastal Cleanup Day. The Coastal Commission oversees and coordinates all the different counties in the state to ensure success across California for this day.
City of Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation
Los Angeles City Bureau of Sanitation does more than sponsor Coastal Cleanup Day. The Bureau of Sanitation also provides the much needed tools and equipment for all of our Los Angeles sites. Through the Bureau of Sanitation, services are coordinated in conjunction to Coastal Cleanup Day to be a part of our Big Help program that contributes to the large amounts of trash abatement accomplished in Los Angeles County on this day.
City of Santa Monica
The City of Santa Monica will once again sponsor Coastal Cleanup Day and Coastal Cleanup Education Day in Santa Monica. The city’s contribution allows us to bring out over 700 kids from inland title I school to Santa Monica Beach for a fun day of beach exploration and environmental stewardship.
Sempra Energy
For a second time, Sempra Energy will be sponsoring a number of Los Angeles County Coastal Cleanup Day sites. Their employee participation is always seen at some of our most populated inland sites and encourages other corporations to follow in their steps toward corporate responsibility.
The Ralphs Fund
The Ralphs Fund is sponsoring Coastal Cleanup Day after a year’s work of corporate environmental stewardship. Their partnership during our attempts for plastic bag bans all over Los Angeles County was very important in accomplishing the everyday mission of ensuring SoCal residents maintain a clean and healthy bay.
Crystal Geyser
Many thanks to Crystal Geyser, the 2008 California Coastal Cleanup Day water provider. Thanks to the large contributions from Crystal Geyser, all of our 70 sites will have water to provide to volunteers coming to cleanup on this very fun and special day.
Neutrogena
Essential to a day of cleaning under the sun, sunscreen will be provided for all volunteers by Neutrogena! We are excited that Neutrogena will be ensuring that volunteers at all our sites are equip to clean sunburn free. Thanks to their generous donation, all participants will walk away with a full size bottle of Neutrogena sunscreen.
