Since Heal the Bay was started, we've understood the critical role environmental education plays in the fight to protect our coastal waters and watersheds. Our education programs serve students of all ages, whether children or adults. Whether you're a teacher, parent or youth group leader, we have a variety of content designed to aid both formal and informal educators.
No matter where you are teach in Los Angeles County, you can take advantage of our offerings, all of which are standards aligned and developed to complement existing classroom curriculum. But Heal the Bay does more than offer you great educational tools that cover a range of topics including pollution awareness and prevention, stormwater education and environmental stewardship.
We partner directly with you and your students. Our expert staff of experienced educators, teachers, scientists and aquarists are available to facilitate for kids and adults, both inside and outside of the classroom. You can find us on campus working closely with a number of schools including Santa Monica High School, Youth Opportunities High School, Washington Elementary, Wisdom Academy for Young Scientists and St. Michael's Elementary.
Plus, you can always take your kids on learning adventure when you Adopt-A-Beach, visit Heal the Bay's Santa Monica Pier Aquarium or select beachside locations such as Duke's Malibu for our school year, summer and Lunch n Learn field trips.
