Ever wonder what it is like to tickle a tiger shark on the nose, dance with a bull shark, or swim with a great white shark outside of a cage? Join Julie Andersen, founder of Shark Angels, on Sunday, August 4, to hear her amazing stories, see incredible images and footage and learn things you’ll never believe about an animal many of us fear.
Julie has a special relationship with sharks, having spent hundreds of hours underwater with them, free of any cages. Traversing around the world for the past decade, her unbelievable journey has taken her to all corners of the earth where she has become intimately acquainted with dozens of species –including those known as the “most dangerous,” supposed man-eaters. Julie’s passion turned into a mission, as she devotes her life to educating the public about sharks and advocating for shark conservation. She'll share her experiences at Heal the Bay's Santa Monica Pier Aquarium on shark-themed Sunday, August 4, followed by a feeding at the open top shark exhibit.
