The Green California Schools Summit is organized by the non-profit Green Technology, a partner with Cal/EPA for EEI outreach and teacher training.
The Summit offers a once-a-year chance to get up to date on the technologies, policies, teaching strategies and best practices that are contributing to progress in the Golden State’s green schools movement.
Monday, Oct. 17, speakers in the opening general session will include California Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson and Carl Pope, chairman of the Sierra Club and co-founder of the BlueGreen Alliance.
Tuesday, Oct. 18, the Summit will include an all-day Green Curriculum Institute, offering educators a chance to discover how to implement the EEI Curriculumm California's landmark Education and the Environment Initiative.
All Summit attendees have access to Educational Program sessions, the full exhibit hall, and the Leadership Reception and Green Curriculum Institute featuring the EEI and how the initiative is increasing environmental literacy in classrooms today.
