Heal the Bay and California Greenworks Inc, have joined forces to thank Coastal Cleanup Day volunteers with a FREE concert ticket for EarthFest L.A. 2012! The first 100 people who volunteer at the Bay Street Coastal Cleanup Day site in Santa Monica on Saturday, September 15, will receive a free ticket ($20 value) to the Jazz for the Environment Concert at EarthFest L.A. 2012 at 2 p.m.
Jazz for the Environment is headlined by double Grammy Award-winning smooth jazz legend, guitarist Paul Brown; chart topping contemporary jazz musician Darren Rahn, vocalist Wendy Moten; jazz fusion band DW3; and Motown-influenced singer/songwriter Chris Lightfoot.
After Coastal Cleanup Day make sure to stop by EarthFest L.A.'s free expo. Gospel artist Roland Pollard and his talented group, Delivered, will perform in the expo area at approximately 12:30 p.m.. Also in the Expo, presentations on fracking, a controversial oil extraction process now being debated with regard to the Baldwin Hills oil fields; water sustainability; the green economy and green jobs; creating an energy-efficient home; and healthier eating.
The Expo is free but additional concert tickets are just $20 when purchased online. Children 12 and younger are free. Additional concert tickets can be purchased at EarthFestLA.org. Food will be sold, but picnic baskets are welcome. No alcohol is permitted.
EarthFest LA is coordinated by California Greenworks, Inc., a non-profit organization whose charter is to improve urban communities in South Los Angeles.
