A Day Without a Bag is an educational grassroots event coordinated by Heal the Bay that involves cities throughout Los Angeles County. The impact of plastic on the marine environment and our communities is significant and we have the option to dramatically reduce the use of plastic bags.
Why not make every day A Day Without a Bag? Almost 4 million residents in California now live in bag-free communities and an additional 5 million live in cities actively working on bag ban ordinances. When these ordinances pass, nearly one in three Californians will have made the switch to reusable bags. You can help lead the way!
Join us for a half-day training to learn how to support a reusable bag campaign in your community, school, club, church or team. You will learn activities and strategies to free your community, our local rivers and the ocean from plastic bags.
