Do you love talking to people? Do you enjoy fairs and festivals? If so, then becoming a community advocate is perfect for you! Come to our Community Advocate Training to learn how to communicate, educate, and represent Heal the Bay at various public events.
Education and Outreach are key components to promote Heal the Bay's mission and ensure better water quality in Southern California's watersheds. The more people we have the opportunity to reach out to and have one-on-one conversations with, the closer we will be to clean beaches and healthy neighborhoods. This is why it is incredibly important to get out into the community by tabling at festivals and fairs.
We educate the public about our current projects, hand out literature and swag, as well as recruit new volunteers and members. Our Community Advocates understand what it means to spread the words and rally supporters. Join us for the training in which you will be fully prepared to represent Heal the Bay at these fun community events. Everything from a local school fair to a large rock concert, Heal the Bay can table at these events with your help!
