Join the California Coastal Commission for a "Breakfast at the Beach Press Conference" with media, sponsors, and dignitaries in Santa Monica on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Celebrate the launch of the newly designed Whale Tail® License Plate with Santa Monica Mayor and California Coastal Commissioner Richard Bloom, along with actress and Heal the Bay board member Amy Smart, as well as representatives from the California Coastal Commission, DMV, local government, environmental organizations and the tourism industry.

The Santa Monica Convention & Visitors Bureau also invites you to celebrate Santa Monica beaches' recent "A" ratings on Heal the Bay's Beach Report Card. Pacific Parks mascot Inky and Heal the Bay characters Octopus, Lobster and Crab will be on hand for photo opportunities. In addition, following the press conference, attendees are invited to catch a bird's eye view atop Pacific Park's famous solar-powered Ferris wheel. (Note: must show conference badge for free Ferris wheel ride).
