Venice Beach

Overview

Venice still remains the ultimate funky urban beach city it has always been. From the world-famous boardwalk, with its vendors and performers, to the tourist draw of Muscle Beach, Venice truly is a place like no other.  Although it’s part of Los Angeles, its close proximity to Santa Monica means that it shares many characteristics of its wealthy neighbor to the north.

Occasionally, one of the stormdrains crossing Venice Beach will cause water quality problems. In 2010, we noticed that particularly at the Windward Avenue stormdrain.
