Daily events, camps, classes, field trips–the Aquarium has it all!

Education is a top priority at Heal the Bay's Santa Monica Pier Aquarium. Whether you visit our marine education center on a School Field Trip, attend an evening lecture, enroll your budding young scientist in a Micro Bio class or sign her up for Science Adventures Camp, you will leave the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium with a new sense of wonder and appreciation for the amazing marine life of the Santa Monica Bay.

Aquarium Field Trips
 

 

Hands-on learning and classroom enrichment at our marine science center under the Santa Monica Pier.

Science Adventures Camp 

Our weeklong summer camp for students in K-5th  grade focuses on a different marine science topic each week. Now offered during Spring Break for students in 1st-4th grade, with brand new curriculum for new and returning campers.

 

Summer Camp

When: 1 weeklong spring session, 5 weeklong summer sessions
Where: Santa Monica Pier Aquarium
Duration: 9:00am-2:00pm each day camp is in session
Cost: $325 (nonmembers) or $300 (members) per week, or $70 per day (Spring only)

Key to the Sea

Heal the Bay’s flagship marine environmental education program designed for teachers and elementary school children (K-5). Heal the Bay and our partners educate teachers and students alike in watershed stewardship, storm water pollution prevention, and marine conservation through free teacher professional development workshops, classroom activities and a hands-on beach science field trip.

When: Teacher workshops run on select Saturdays, September –February; field trips run throughout traditional school year.

Where: Workshops and field trips are held at one of our partner locations.                                                           

Key to the Sea

Cost: Teacher workshops are free of charge; field trip costs vary by partner location.
