For a limited time, and at various sites, Lincoln will be donating $10 per test drive to Heal the Bay for every driver and passenger over the age of 18 who participates in their Personal Drive Experience.
Lincoln will also donate a $15 American Express gift card and enter drivers and passengers into a weekly $200 sweestakes drawing at the conclusion of each week's benefit test drives.
Now is the time for stronger protections, not weaker ones.
When it rains in L.A. County, millions of gallons of water flow over paved surfaces like rooftops, sidewalks, parking lots, and streets. This "urban runoff" picks up animal waste, metals, oil, toxic materials, bacteria, and pathogens, carrying them to our storm drain system to be dumped into our local rivers and beaches, usually with little or no treatment.
UPDATE: The April 14 Malibu Creek State Park Restoration is cancelled due to rain
Due to concerns about volunteer safety and possible habitat damage during wet weather, we have decided to cancel the restoration event. These events occur the second Saturday of every month, so please feel free to sign up to volunteer for a future restoration event.
Serge Dedina, PhD Executive Director, WiLDCOAST/COSTASALVAjE and author of "Wild Sea: Eco-Wars And Surf Stories From The Coast of The Californias" will give a guest presentation before the Tuesday, February 7th Malibu Surfing Association meeting.
