Held the third Thursday in December, Heal the Bay’s annual A Day Without a Bag gives Southland shoppers an early holiday present, courtesy of a reusable bag giveaway at locations throughout Los Angeles County.
Heal the Bay is hosting a holiday festival in the empty lot in South L.A. where WAYS Park will be built. The Holiday Festival at WAYS "Reading and Fitness Park" is a fun-filled event for parents to bring their children, meet neighbors, and learn about the work and service that local community groups provide in their area. Check back for more details about the event and take a look at pictures from the Fall Festival at WAYS Park in October.
On Friday, October 5, supporters of clean water packed a Metropolitan Water District meeting room to fight for strong stormwater protections throughout Southern California as part of the "Take L.A. By Storm" campaign. On November 8, the L.A. Regional Water Quality Board will continue the public hearing regarding a revised permit. Written comments will no longer be accepted, but interested parties may present oral comments concerning revisions to the permit.
Please join Ted Baker London and Heal the Bay for an evening of music, refreshments and shopping, all in the aid of a fantastic cause. Guests will receive an exclusive 10% Privilege Rate on the night, and 10% of proceeds will benefit Heal the Bay. Plus enter for the chance to win a $300 gift card!
Heal the Bay is hosting our first big holiday festival this year! The Fall Festival at WAYS "Reading and Fitness Park" is a fun-filled event for parents to bring their children, meet neighbors, and learn about the work and service that local community groups provide in their area. This Halloween event will have pumpkins, hay-bales, jack-o-lanterns, and (potentially!) chickens. Activities include pumpkin carving and lots of fun arts and crafts. The empty lot in South L.A. where the Fall Festival is held will eventually be WAYS Park.
