Everyone! Open to the public.

Admission
There is no extra charge for participating in the Aquarium's Earth Weekend activities! Normal rates apply as follows:
  • Adult admission is $2.00, with a suggested donation of $5.00.
  • Children age 12 and under are FREE with a paying adult!
  • Please contact the Aquarium at 310-393-6149 for group rates.

Beach Cleanups for Free Admission!
Participate in one of the following beach cleanups and earn FREE ADMISSION into the Aquarium!

Saturday April 18th

  • 10:00am – 12noon
    Join the Nothing But Sand Beach Cleanup
  • 12noon – 3:30pm
    Stop by the beach cleanup table outside the Aquarium to pick up beach cleaning supplies.

Sunday, April 19th

  • 11:00am – 3:30pm
    Stop by the beach cleanup table outside the Aquarium to pick up beach cleaning supplies.

Note: all cleanup participants must have a signed cleanup waiver form (signed by parent/guardian if under 18 years old).

Come to the Aquarium and celebrate Earth Day and planet water! Visitors can participate in special Earth Day activities that will keep everyone of all ages entertained and educated about the marine life in the bay and our human connection to the fragile ocean ecosystem. This weekend celebration is one of Heal the Bay's Earth Month events.

Washed Up — Marine debris art exhibit by local artist Deb Ris.
10:00am - 3:30pm (Sat.)

11:00am - 3:30pm (Sun.)
Clean the beach! — and get free admission to the Aquarium!

Note: all cleanup participants must have a signed cleanup waiver form (signed by parent/guardian if under 18 years old).
11:00am - 5:00pm,
both days
ROV/Wildlife Observation Station — Head to the end of the pier to look for sea life above and below the waves. Be sure to take a turn steering the Aquarium’s ROV (remotely operated vehicle).
All day,

MPA Information Station (located at the ROV/Wildlife Observation station) — Meet one of Heal the Bay’s staff scientists and learn about Marine Protected Areas ("underwater parks").
1:00pm & 4:30pm,

Who Pollutes? A fun, interactive ocean pollution workshop for the whole family
11:30am Sunday Octopus Flood Art & Story Contest — Announcement of winners and award ceremony
3:30pm, Sunday only Shark Feeding — Get up-close and personal with the Aquarium's sharks during a special Earth Weekend feeding!
