2007-12-20 A Day Without a Bag — Dec 20, 2007
Thanks to all the government officials, retailers, community group partners, volunteers and citizens who made “A Day Without a Bag” on Dec 20th a resounding success.
Tens of thousands of bags were handed out at more than a dozen locations throughout Los Angeles County. More importantly, significant T.V., radio and web coverage spread our message to millions of shoppers.
This inaugural event laid a strong foundation for subsequent campaigns against the proliferation of single-use shopping bags. Check our site for regular updates and action alerts. Keep up the fight – the tide is turning in our favor!
