READINGS & FEEDINGS: get up close and personal with our ocean animals
FEED THE LOCALS: Bring your kids to the Aquarium on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. to help feed our sea stars, then head upstairs to Rusty's Surf Ranch on the Pier where kids eat free with proof of Aquarium entry. One child's meal is free with the purchase of an adult entree of $11 or more. Feeding days are always fun; the animals are lively and visitors are treated to impromptu presentations as the aquaristing staff distribute a meal to the marine animals.
STORY TIME: Stop by any Saturday for a whale of a tale. Every Saturday at 3:30 p.m., kids of all ages gather in the Green Room to hear a marine-themed story. Whether told by our ace Aquarium storyteller or an esteemed guest author, story time is a popular family-friendly attraction.
SHARK SUNDAYS: Don't miss this favorite weekly feature at the Aquarium. At 3:30 p.m. every Sunday, you can watch and listen to an informative presentation about these often misunderstood animals while our horn and swell sharks cruise around the tank, noses out of the water, mouths open, anticipating the meal to come.
Expect a splash of seawater if you’re close enough to the exhibit. Watch a shark-themed film at scheduled intervals throughout the afternoon.
Finally, everyone is invited to make a fun shark craft project to take home.
