Can’t get enough of the Aquarium? We understand. That’s why we offer a number of ways to get closer to the action. From volunteering to internships to Aquadoption to employment, there’s a way for everyone to bring out their inner marine biologist.
Volunteer at the Aquarium!
Become an Aquarium volunteer and help facilitate interactive, educational programs; meet, greet, and engage with visitors during public hours; help out with birthdays and special events; and much more!
To volunteer at the Aquarium, you must:
be at least 15 years old
commit to 100 hours of volunteering
pay a non-refundable $25 fee to cover the cost of training and materials.

Members make it happen. Starting at just $25 a year, your joint membership to the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium and Heal the Bay helps underwrite the daily operations, public programming and scientific research conducted by our staff, as well as critical conservation work throughout Greater Los Angeles.
